Dream, Dreaming, As a Day Dreamer
Last Saturday, i joint a shcolarships event. Yes, I know that was our dream to go to europe and have some trips there. Working hard in that dream make me think again, what i want to do and what i can be for my nation and religion. I just met some great people on there. Yaps, they are from british council and grant of chevening scholarship. I really want to be that family. I really have a great hope to live in country beside Indonesia and make something different thing to our nation.
Why?
first, that was my dream to live may be just 2 or years in different country. I want to live different country because i really want to learn about their culture and make its as a best practice for better Indonesia. Indonesia is too waste many time to be a great country. I really want Indonesia being better, not just in Jakarta but in all city in Indonesia. Being a different person to develop Indonesia from many segments. So, our nation will be more prosperous country and our citizens will have a great life and have access like transportation, health, good dwelling and education.
Second, i want to contribute to my country. I am a urban planner and work at housing developer for indonesian goverment. I concern about change indonesian mindset about home. There is 2 important things that we used to thing clearly about housing or dwelling in Indonesia. First, It is about Indonesian mindset about home, and second about accessibility to have a house in Indonesia.
What means Indonesian people mindset?
Indonesians always think that we have to life on the land. So, there is many landed houses in Indonesia. That is not problem for now because Indonesia has many unbuilt areas. Indonesia has 5 great island that is java is the densiest island in Indonesia. Many of Indonesia people live in Java, may around 60% people live in Java, because Java have a great access to many place and develop well among other islands. So, almost land in Java for housing and facilities. Cities is getting bigger and make many problems like a slums, criminals, land for housing, and others. Look at Jakarta, there is no land for landed housing and land price is so high. Everyone who work in Jakarta cann't buy a house in Jakarta because thats unaffordable for a middle income.
I think that we have to be chance our opinion to live in a landed house in a worked aged like us, especially me. We may have a house to stay at our retired time. While working zone, we cann't stay at house which have a long way from office. Thats just make you feel tired whom waste your daily life in the way. I think apartement or we know about RUSUN in Indonesia can be fulfill our housing requirement.
Our Condition
Housing is a primer needs. That means every family in Indonesia used to have a house to live. But there is perspective that house is not primer needs. As I said before that land in the city is so expensive, even noone in the middle income cann't reach that. Because of that, housing is also expensive one and not affordable things that is not everyone can access that easily. So that is not justice right if there are people whose more than one property but someone else didnt have even ones. Im just thinking how property especially house can be accessable for indonesian people, especially in a city. Goverment has a housing policy about price of house. That price is around 136 million rupiah (in 2018). But goverment cann't give a policy of land price so many house in Indonesia built in outer city that constrain city around the Capital City thus creating The Greater City. The Greater City has some issue about land use, urban planning, facility planning, etc. Why? Because for now, Indonesia has an otonomy issue, that every region have to make their urban plan even in Jakarta and bogor, which is suburb of Jakarta, has their own plan.
As one of candidates or may live in developed country i think that we can learn and take it back for Indonesia. Because Indonesia has a chance to develop well, but we need to think to develop our minds and other people minds to be better. Because planning is about contains and constrains. Contain means where people live, how is it, and what can we develop to make a better life. Constrains mean people who lives there, what they need, what we can do to guarantee their quality of life.

Why?
